I watched the Victoria’s Secret 2008 fashion show last night…complete with naughty knickers, sexy bras, the classic giant angel wings, and oh yeah… gorgeous models. Yes, I am a masochist.
The girls are beautiful and I like Vikki’s models because they actually have curves. Ok, not REAL person curves, but the truly perfect body in my opinion…not the anorexic, stick straight model bodies. (Actually, this should make me like them less, huh? Hmmmm.) The show provided clips of the models backstage and many of the girls have adorable accents, including the oh-so-gorgeous Adriana Lima. My favorite has always been Alessandra Ambrosio and I just found out she is Brazilian too. Brazilian models…who stands a chance against them! I love that damn store though. Why must they air a lingerie fashion show in the middle of the prime weight-gaining season though?! This doesn’t make me more likely to buy the special holiday bras. Can you imagine going into a store saying…”False advertising! I was under the impression I would look like Heidi Klum if I wore this!” Curse all the delicious holiday food, curse the multiple boxes of See’s chocolates received, curse the thousand holiday parties with scrumptious appetizers, curse the wine..wine..and more wine. Just kidding! Don’t curse it all…just provide me with the willpower to resist is all!
All joking aside, I love the Christmas..,I mean Holiday… no… Winter…wait, how about End-of-Year season. (Is end-of-year still ok to say?) If you could remove the hoards of people out and about and the traffic, I would love it even more! I love all of the holiday lights, the pretty wrapped gifts, and the coats & scarves. I love all of the celebration, I love the quality family time, I love seeing more of the friends I don’t see often, and I love the week of PTO I take!
